What happened

xAI moved Grok Bot — the always-on, persistent cloud-agent product this thread has tracked in beta since 08-11/08-12 — into a dedicated enterprise offering, with a two-week free trial for Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers that lets companies onboard their whole workforce, including staff without existing accounts. xAI's own announcement frames it as governance-focused: access, network and audit controls "to govern Bots at scale." Grok Bot is now bundled into SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and Cursor Teams plans broadly, not just the higher SuperGrok Heavy/Cursor Ultra tiers the beta required, and xAI says thousands of organizations (including Legora, Supermicro and ServiceTitan) have adopted it since the beta.
