Warner's deadline passes with confirmed silence

· part of CSAM Ads

What happened

Senator Mark Warner's own Senate press page carries nothing after the 08-18 letter — no Meta reply, no acknowledgement of receipt, no statement about non-response — three days past the 08-26 deadline the letter itself set. The silence is now a confirmed negative rather than an absence of searching, checked against the primary source and against every outlet that covered the original letter. Meta's only public comment remains a pre-deadline line to WIRED that it "works aggressively" against exploitation and that most flagged ads "had minimal reach" — which answers none of Warner's three questions: how the ads passed review, what revenue they generated, and what remediation followed. upcoming.yaml grace expires 08-29. Credibility ratings combine two public datasets: Lin et al. 2023, PNAS Nexus 2(9):pgad286 (CC BY 4.0) for the domain-quality score, and Wikipedia's perennial-sources list (CC BY-SA 4.0) for the reliability tier. A rating describes an outlet's general record, never this particular article. Unrated means absent from those datasets — not a judgement.
