What happened

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Department of Energy issued a final environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact for reauthorizing power operations at the Christopher M. Crane Clean Energy Center, formerly Three Mile Island Unit 1 The NRC is separately deciding whether to grant an exemption and three license amendments Constellation Energy requested, and DOE's Office of Energy Dominance Financing is deciding on a loan guarantee for refueling; Constellation's 2024 20-year power purchase agreement commits the reactor's 835 megawatts to Microsoft's data centers on the PJM grid. This finalizes a draft environmental assessment from June 2026 and is not itself a license decision. (Federal Register / NRC)

Credibility ratings combine two public datasets: Lin et al. 2023, PNAS Nexus 2(9):pgad286 (CC BY 4.0) for the domain-quality score, and Wikipedia's perennial-sources list (CC BY-SA 4.0) for the reliability tier. A rating describes an outlet's general record, never this particular article. Unrated means absent from those datasets — not a judgement.
