What happened

Saudi Arabia's Humain, owned by the Public Investment Fund, awarded infrastructure works for a planned 6-gigawatt hyperscale AI data-centre campus in east Riyadh to Dammam-based Al-Yamama, MEED reported Thursday. The 24-square-kilometre Al-Saad site is to be built in two phases across six 1GW plots on an early-contractor-involvement basis, with a 2,000MVA bulk supply point, two substations of 500MVA and 200MVA, and water, sewage and fibre networks; Humain tendered the work in May, and Hatch, Egis and JLL advise it. Credibility ratings combine two public datasets: Lin et al. 2023, PNAS Nexus 2(9):pgad286 (CC BY 4.0) for the domain-quality score, and Wikipedia's perennial-sources list (CC BY-SA 4.0) for the reliability tier. A rating describes an outlet's general record, never this particular article. Unrated means absent from those datasets — not a judgement.
