What happened

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said "an understanding has been reached regarding the map of the transit route" — ships entering near Iran and exiting near Oman, with no tolls during an interim period — while conceding talks moved slowly and that a full map plus joint statement are still being finalized. Oman has not independently confirmed the claim.
